How do we pray?

1.   Be persistent: '...will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.' Luke 18:7-8:

2.   Don't stop: 'Pray continually' 1 Thessalonians 5:17

3.   Remember God's in control: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.' Philippians 4:6

4.   Make it your passion: 'Devote yourselves to prayer.' Colossians 4:2

5.   God is always listening: 'For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.' 1 Peter 3:12

6.   Ask God anything : 'pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.' Ephesians 6:18

7.   God's Spirit guides us through prayer: 'Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do.' Jeremiah 42:3

8.   Prayer is intimate: 'But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.' Matthew 6:6

9.   It's ok if you don't always know what to pray: 'In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.' Romans 8:26

10. Have faith 'If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.' Matthew 17:20

11. Nothing is impossible for God: Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Mark 10:27

12. God responds to faith: 'Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.' Matthew 15:28
